CHRONICLE OF UKRAINIAN DESIGN (SEVENTH ISSUE)
We expect the print run to be ready by the end of October.
The Chronicle of Ukrainian Design is a periodical print publication about the history and development of Ukrainian design. The journal is an attempt to see and show how Ukrainian design identity was born and how it has changed.
The seventh issue of The Chronicle of Ukrainian Design is dedicated to urban culture — city identities, wayfinding, transport design, and apps that make life in the city more convenient.
The issue features Yakiv Hnizdovskyi, whose graphic works have found their way into museums and collections around the world; the visual identity of Vinnytsia; the initiative Ahenty zmin, which has been developing and organizing urban wayfinding since 2010; the visual identity of Chornobyl — a city that is gradually disappearing but preserves the memory of one of the greatest catastrophes of the 20th century; and the legacy of Florian Yuriev. Also featured are Ukrainian public transport, typefaces of Ukrainian cities, the LUN and bird apps, Ukrainian bicycles, and the Kyiv Design Guide, a guide to Kyiv that we created together with Bolt.
The issue was created by the Kyiv-based design bureau Spiilka in partnership with ist publishing, with the support of Bolt.
