During the course for art critics fromist publishing, COME INgallery invites everyone to the lecture by a leading sociologist of culture Pascal Gielen.

In his lecture, Pascal Gielen will analyze the role of art-criticism and criticism in general on micro- and macro-levels. He states that contemporary art can’t survive without criticism. On the microlevel, artists need criticism for the development of their art practice, and on the macro-level, it is needed for the support of culture and its dynamics. Gielen will analyze how the criticism functions, and also “where” it works for artists and the society in general.
