CHRONICLE OF UKRAINIAN DESIGN (SIXTH ISSUE)
Ukrainian Design Chronicle covers graphic, product, and digital design, as well as typography. It is a periodical print publication exploring the history and development of Ukrainian design. The magazine seeks to trace and present how Ukrainian design identity has emerged and evolved over time.
The sixth issue is dedicated to women in design and art — featuring creative directors and art directors of the 20th century, contemporary practitioners, and projects initiated by women’s collectives.
This issue includes: Olena Kulchytska, Sofia Nalepinska-Boychuk, stories of 15 of the most compelling Ukrainian designers of the 21st century, the Kateryna app and products by BetterMe, the Klynok typeface by Kateryna Korolevtseva, and the iconic Verkhovyna moped. It also features Mykola Butovych, who developed the visual style of the first Ukrainian women’s magazine Nova Khata.
The issue was created by the Kyiv-based design bureau Spiilka in partnership with ist publishing.
