This book is created for individual preparation for public speaking and sums up years of work by the Kyiv School of Rhetoric “Aristotle” with people of various professions and ages, ranging from those at the start their career path to company executives, from emerging public servants to well-known figures in politics and government administration.
The school, which operated from 2012 to 2020, had coaches deeply passionate about their craft. Their passion was driven by people and their diversity. The coaches themselves — Veronika Selega, Kyrylo Andreev, and Olena Kozeletska — became co-authors of this book. For them, the key principle was always to highlight diversity and make it the focal point of their efforts. While many sought quick skills leading to success, the authors of this book firmly believe that the true value lies in the unique personal qualities that set each individual apart.
This book aims to serve as a textbook and a manual for individual preparation for speeches and other forms of public communication. The book includes specially created illustrations and detailed analyses of famous speeches, transforming the preparation process from an exhausting task into an exciting journey of creativity and self-expression — one that strives to change the world for the better. Above all, one’s own world.
The book features speeches by Benjamin Franklin, Olena Zelenska, Myroslav Marynovych, Oleksandra Matviichuk, and Woodrow Wilson.
