The first printed issue of Your Art magazine about art (in Ukrainian and Russian)

This volume is designed to capture every significant issue that affected the public and formed the cultural context in 2019 and 2020 by collecting 24 selected opinion pieces and interviews about Ukrainian art and the last few years' tendencies.

The texts touch on the topics of ecology, the Anthropocene, decommunization, the feminist movement, queer art, and Ukrainian cinema. The volume features previously unpublished interviews with artist Katya Libkind, curators Maria Lanko and Lizaveta German, art expert Yevhenia Molar, and other cultural scenes. The opinion pieces include those by art expert Asia Bazdyrieva on the leading tendencies of 2019, by curator Lesya Kulchynska on the feminist project The Cave of the Golden Rose as well as a piece by critic Oleksiy Kuchansky about one of the main film releases of 2020 — New Jerusalem (укр. "Зарваниця"), а debut feature by Yarema Malashchuk and Roman Himey.

Our reader, and that's something we are emphatic about, is not someone educated in art or with an artistic background. We are doing a project about art for everyone, and this is the crucial message of Your Art — namely, this is your art. — Nastya Kalyta, editor in chief of Your Art.
