Russian colonialism 101 by Maksym Eristavi shortlisted for the Witold Pilecki International Book Award

Since 2021, the Pilecki Institute has annually awarded the Witold Pilecki International Book Award in three categories: Academic History Book, Historical Reportage, and the Special Prize.

This year, 60 publications from 35 publishers ,both Polish and international,  were submitted for the competition.

The book Russian Colonialism 101 was shortlisted in the Special Prize category. In this category, the Award Committee sought to recognize publications that testify to the crimes of totalitarian and authoritarian systems in the modern world, recount the experiences of people affected by wars and armed conflicts, and condemn systemic human rights violations.
